Landscape Projects worked with Stephenson Bell Architects to develop a complex of riverside apartments.
The landscape of the development is organised around the central green raised lawn, which opens out views to the River Aire, with its dramatic weir, and beyond to the new Armouries Museum. The raised lawn safely covers contaminated material which were retained on site.
The garden is visually connected, but physically separated from, a public walkway, which continues a linked network of riverside routes from the nearby city centre. The public walkway is designed to provide a range of riverside characters, from retained alders on a soft, planted bank, to a jutting jetty, finished in timber and chains.
