Liverpool City Council and its regeneration arm Liverpool Vision have established a joint venture with several landowners and developers in the Islington area of Liverpool. Landscape Projects were commissioned to examine options for the development of the area as a mixed-use district. The options were discussed in an extensive series of public consultations, prior to finalising a preferred approach which has achieved overall approval, and will become Supplementary Planning Guidance, ultimately leading to incorporation in the emerging Local Development Framework.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, Landscape Projects produced a planning framework document for the peripheral city centre district of Islington in Liverpool. The framework was produced to guide future development in the area. Landscape Projects contributed to the public consultations, urban design and public realm strategies.
