Landscape Projects are working with Spearfish to produce an implementation study for an area around the RSPB's Old Moor site in Wombwell.

The study encompasses areas of land owned by Rotherham, Doncaster & Barnsley local authorities and the Environment Agency which are leased and managed by the RSPB. The study aims to link all the sites together through a series of proposed infrastructure improvements and creative interventions in the landscape that can be carried out by the RSPB to improve the perception and landscape management of the area. Some projects will be implemented using current funding; others will be subject to separate funding applications.
